EQUINE THERAPY

Beneficiaries

Everyone can benefit from being a part of Happy Saddles: people who struggle with anxiety, stress, mental issues, special needs, elderly, or just people who enjoy being outdoors and want to have that extra special connection with our horses and environment, improving both their physical and emotional health.

Equine Therapy is known as an alternative solution, often used in treating a wide spectrum of conditions, such as, ADD/ADHD, autism, Asperger’s, substance abuse, behavioral disorders, learning difficulties, grief, loss, trauma, bipolar disorders and depression. According to experts, the benefits of equine therapy are indisputable.

That’s why here at Happy Saddles, we are proud to welcome people with special needs of all ages. Here they will find physical therapy in horseback riding, and discover the wonderful emotional benefits of walking, touching and feeding our horses. It will definitely be an experience that can transform their life for the better.

We want our beneficiaries to feel empowered when they get on their saddle, ready to live a new adventure every day.

Our Horses

Cookie Doe

Our first horse at Happy Saddles, Cookie Doe, is a paint mare retired polo horse, who is super sweet and gentle. She has always been around kids. Cookie Doe loves to be walked, groomed, and treated with carrots.

Snoopy

He is 7 years old, and is one of our companion horses. Because of his size, he's not able to be ridden. Miniature horses were bred to recreate the features and characteristics of a normal size horse, but in a smaller size. Snoopy loves to go on walks, is playful, and enjoys being groomed.

Pepper

Miniature Horse. He is approximately 5 years old. Pepper was rescued two years ago, and created a great bond with Snoopy. He has a gentle and social nature.
